About

I’m primarily a guitarist playing through a Les Paul, a Fender Strat, and a Charvel Guthrie Govan MIJ which I really love. I go full digital though a Line 6 Helix and no longer own a tube amp but have a decent PA to run the guitars through. Also have a beater Ibanez acoustic that I love.

I have done quite a bit of singing over time in live band harmony situations and have sung lead on a few songs in various bands. I did a ton of it growing up, but the pipes are rusty these days and regular rehearsals in a practice space would really help.

I have several years of youth orchestra training, singing in choirs, the violin, and LOL handbells. I know.

As a lyrical writer I draw on all parts of life but good rock songs tend to have strong feelings underneath them and I steer towards that.

All the demos are my amateurish mixing efforts in Cubase using drum stems I recorded professionally some years ago.

From a goals perspective I’d like to get a rhythm section underneath the songs and put together a live set we can take out and feel proud of (or at least, not embarrassed by). If chemistry is good that might lead to more writing, recording.

I’ve done the whole San Francisco/Burning Man nightlife thing for a few decades but now live in East Bay, parenting full-time, working full-time, house, car, spouse, etc. Very rarely touch alcohol anymore and not interested in being around it a bunch either.

I’m also an active cyclist/cat 4 masters racer and if we share that vibe it would be a cool launching off point.
